History of the Street Art in MoCA Los Angeles

Street Art with its proto level – graffiti for many years was not considered as a serious Art and was ignored by the official institutions as the museums and galleries also for the reason that it is already performed and conserved in public display. In the last 10 years the attention to Street Art that has been transformed Urban Art has increased thanks to many talented artists and particularly Banksy. The main reason of such interest is a research of authentic art, autentic expression of the free spirit after the long years of commercial art styled as pseudo street-pop-art ready for home use.

In display till 8th of August, 2011 ART IN THE STREETS at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) Los Angeles.
