ISEA is the most important and extensive non-profit association of the world to deal with the evolution of digital art and electronics.
Founded in 1990 in Holland, ISEA has pursued an interdisciplinary discourse that connects individuals and organizations in different field of research, source and approaches, in relation metendo art science and technology. Since 2009 his headquortier moved to Brighton (UK), thanks to a partnership with the University, under the direction of Sue Gollifer.
The main activities of the association is to organize an annual symposium, which in turn is held in different cities around the world as this year. The symposium is now in its seventeenth edition, and this year will be held in Istanbul between 14 and 21 September.
8 days difficult to describe because it held an impressive array of lectures, presentations, roundtables, including installations, performances and exhibitions. There you can find artists, academics, curators and the value of this, before the “public”, is primarily for those who participate as a speaker / artist / academic / organizer: the chance to share their work and be recognized by a community internationally, entering into a relationship.
