The American University of Kuwait (AUK) opened Sunday an art exhibition for internationally recognized self-taught painter Matt Lamb with the event aimed at promoting world peace and co-existence amongst people.
Organizers from the Matt Lamb Organization told KUNA that the exhibition would feature 60 pieces of art-work done by the American artist, adding that the Matt Lamb Umbrellas for Peace project would accompany the exhibitions as an effort to promote peace worldwide.
The project began after the 9/11 attacks to help children affected by hardship and encourage the world community to spread understanding and peace amongst nations.
AUK’s President Dr. Winfred Thompson said that the exhibition, which would conclude on October 13th, would put art and peace in one mold and promote such notions through world societies.
