The Director of Centre for Islamic Arts Mr. Farid Al-Ali announced the participation of 21 countries in the 5th International Forum for Islamic Arts, which is hosted in Kuwait, represented by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs at the Grand Mosque with participation of many local and Arabic institutions. The participating countries are: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, UAE, Iraq, Bahrain, Palestine, Jordan, Algeria, Syria, Sudan, Pakistan, Malaysia , Turkey, Iran, Morocco, India, Bangladesh, China, Hungary and China.
Al-Ali declared on the occasion of the preparing of holding the forum by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the Grand Mosque from December 25 to 7 January that, in addition to the State of Kuwait, which hosts the event.
Forum is ongoing until 7 January, 2012. The events that will be held during the Forum are: Exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, Islamic decoration, Islamic textile exhibition, Ka’aba curtains gallery, workshops of young people and children, specialized Arabic calligraphy workshops and the art of composition by clicking on the paper.
