Opening of art exhibition “REVIVE” at American International School

The American International School of Kuwait’s Visual Arts Department is constantly growing and developing. Our focus for our high school students has been on the conceptual links with the student’s body of works and their artistic technical skills and processes to reflect these themes and ideas visually. Students are constantly encouraged to go beyond their comfort zones and explore a variety of multimedia approaches whilst also refining conventional artistic practices. We educate our students beyond the classroom by inviting in local artists for “An afternoon with an artist”, where students are able to meet, watch, listen and question well established artists in practice.

The IB students of AIS have created beautiful art sharing their own styles and ways of painting. I am inspired by the work and effort that they have put into their work. I am a student at AIS who is looking forward taking IB art. I think that AIS, and the art teachers have done a great job at teaching, influencing, and helping their students.

The AIS dp art students have done an exeptional job at creating a body of works through out their 2 year course. The way they have chosen a topic personal to them has allowed them to create strong pieces which have deep meaning. I am inspired by the beautiful pieces, and hope to achieve something similar next year.

This year the IB art students have done a phenominal job in completing their artworks within these 2years. They have exposed their talent and creativity that was put into each and every artwork. These young talented artists have shown a strong and conceptual body of works that inspired myself and others. The art exibition Revive has gave these students the opportunity to display their artworks and reveal their inspirational work.

It took me less than 30 seconds to see the true depth of these artworks. So much thought and effort was put into them. And in the 10 minutes I had to look at them, I could see the reflection of the artists. Truly talented people…
    Awesome work!

These exceptional artworks have really shown the styles of the passionate artists that made them. You can clearly see the different styles each of them have used, each unique in its own way. Everyone has done a great job and I wish them the best for the future. 🙂
