Founded in 2003, ArteEast is a leading New York-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to engaging a growing global audience and arts professionals with the contemporary arts of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and its diaspora.

Manifest is now accepting submissions for the 9th International Drawing Annual. The International Drawing Annual’s goal is to support the recognition, documentation and publication of excellent, current and relevant works of drawing from around the world. Submissions are expected to vary and to include a range of drawing types, but all with some relevance to the artists’ understanding of the practice of “drawing.” Deadline December 31, 2013 – Link

The International Video Art Festival “Now&After” is now accepting submissions for the 2014 festival. The topic of this year’s festival is “Memory Migration.” Submissions should explore memory as a flexible structure that is migrating in time and space, from person to person, generation to generation, between social groups and nations, cities and continents, virtual and real world. Urban Research invites submissions on the topic of “Urbanisim and the Arab Uprisings: Beyond the Square,” a special issue exploring ways in which the urban has informed the ongoing Arab uprisings. A 500-word abstract must be submitted, and final papers should be between 3,000-5,000 words. Deadline February 1, 2014 – Link

The Young Arab Theatre Fund is now accepting applications for 2014 grants, including grants for Production, Touring and Arts & Culture Spaces. The YATF supports the development of the contemporary artistic creation of the Arab world, provides circulation and distribution opportunities for its new, upcoming and most promising talent, and encourages sustainability of the independent artistic scene in the Arab world. Young professional artists, curators and cultural operators who live and work in the Arab world are encouraged to apply. Deadline January 1, 2014 – Link

Mawa3eed is now accepting applications for the 2014 Travel Grant. Launched in 2006, Mawa3eed helps cover the travel expenses for artists and cultural directors so that they can present their work or participate in artistic and cultu ral activities and events throughout the Arab world. Winning applicants are eligible for travel grants of up to $5,000.Deadline December 20, 2013 – Link

Masrah Ensemble is now accepting applications for the Playwright Residency Program. The program takes place in Beirut and lasts two months. Successful applicants will receive airfare, accomodations, entry visa, a modest salary, and a network of constructive criticism and feedback from experts and the public.
