Scholarship: The Abraaj RCA Innovation Scholarship
The Abraaj RCA Innovation Scholarship will cover full international tuition fees to study at a Master’s level for two years at the Royal College of Art in London. A significant contribution towards living costs will also be provided.Every year, for a period of five years, a cohort of five outstanding scholars will be selected for the scholarship. To be awarded a Scholarship, candidates must demonstrate the potential to change the way people think and behave, and in doing so share the values of Abraaj in working for the betterment of the life and culture of their home countries.Candidates from the 23 countries in which the Abraaj Group operates: UAE; Turkey; Mexico; Singapore; Algeria; Brunei; Colombia; Egypt; Ghana; India; Indonesia; Kazakhstan; Kenya; Malaysia; Morocco; Nigeria; Pakistan; Peru; Philippines; Saudi Arabia; South Africa; Thailand; and Tunisia.

Open Call: WMA Commission
The WMA Commission invites entries for proposals from artists and photographers from both Hong Kong and the international community, to create new photo-based work in Hong Kong, focusing on the theme of IDENTITY. Project proposals must contextually relate to both the theme IDENTITY and to HONG KONG. A four-member Selection Panel will choose the WMA Commission recipient, who will be awarded a HKD$250,000 grant which will contribute towards production of the successful proposal and a public event featuring the completed work. The call for proposals is open to all local and international applicants. The WMA Commission is a part of the WYNG Masters Award programme.

Open Call: Sharjah Art Foundation Production Programme
The Production Programme broadens the possibilities for the production of art in the MENASA region through a commitment to support innovation and excellence in artist practice by encouraging experimentation. This commitment places artists at the core of the Foundation’s mission by offering grants and professional support for the realisation of projects selected from an open call for proposals. Artists are invited to propose projects in any media including sculpture, installation, time based media, books and performance. Up to 200,000 USD is available in this application cycle.

“The Imperceptible Self”; Transart Triennale 2016 will open up spaces for sharing and experiencing creative practices driven by questions of how the peripatetic, nomadic states of contemporary existence negotiate “thresholds of sustainability” via ideas of the subject-in-becoming; ego-less identities; otherness; collective horizons and the spaces in between.Guest editors will sift and cultivate documentation of Transart Triennale events; publishing papers, artwork, performances, reviews, interviews and other fruits of our search in the annual issue of ELSE journal.And artists, curators, thinkers and actors from within and beyond the Transart community will contemplate the practices, interventions and thinking that (un)forms The Imperceptible Self.
