In 2015, Casino Luxembourg’s artist-in-residence programme moved out from the circumscribed exhibition space into Luxembourg’s open public space aiming at a direct confrontation between art – social, committed, provocative, surprising, unusual, playful, interactive – and the public at large in a shared common space.
In 2017, Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain will host the second edition of its international residence programme in the public space.
The residence programme is designed so as to provide a maximum flexibility for the working artist and to offer the best possible conditions with regard to the realisation of each project. To get acquainted with Luxembourg’s public space, a first visit of Luxembourg will be scheduled in autumn 2016 for the laureate. Subsequently to this visit, the laureate will be requested to develop a first outline of his/her project for Luxembourg. The residence period will be fixed according to the very specific needs of the project (maximum of 12 weeks).
Deadline for applications: 16 February 2016 at 4 p.m. (GMT+1)
