Sao Paulo with 20 million people is the most populous metropolis in the southern hemisphere. In 2007 the city council has decided to remove all billboards from the city center to prevent pollution and restore the urban semiotic white space.
As the consequence of this situation in September 2010 was born Sao Paulo Street Art Biennale organized by the French curator Jeremy Planchon. Works of monumental size made by Ko Siu Lan, Mohamed Bourouissa, Paulo Climachauska, Vicente de Mello, Fabiano Gonper, Herbert Baglione, Mambo.
