The most famous Chinese artist is under probation, with the generic accusation of ‘financial crimes’ (must pay about $ 2.5 million to the Chinese government). Walled up in his studio, Ai Weiwei could still attend via Skype opening of several exhibitions dedicated to him around the world.

Meanwhile, inland telematics, Ai Weiwei continues his work as a designer. After designing the stage star of the Beijing Olympics in 2008, now is working together with the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron for the Serpentine Pavilion in Kensington Gardens. The space will be redesigned during the 2012 London Games.
