London based one of the international leading art fair Frieze debuted in New York 4-7 May, 2012 bringing an international focus to the dynamic contemporary art scene in New York. The Fair was located in Randall’s Island Park, Manhattan. Frieze New York featured 180 of the most exciting contemporary art galleries from 30 countries.
The Art Newspaper gathered reactions from curators, collectors and artists Beatrix Ruf, the director of the Kunsthalle Zürich, said: “The quality is high. This is a rigorous selection of galleries and I like the dialogue with young artists.” But “there isn’t much I’m not already familiar with”, she said. Read all opinions.
