Manifest is now accepting submissions for the 9th International Drawing Annual. The International Drawing Annual’s goal is to support the recognition, documentation and publication of excellent, current and relevant works of drawing from around the world. The International Video Art Festival “Now&After” is now accepting submissions for the 2014 festival. The topic of this year’s festival is “Memory Migration.” Submissions should explore memory as a flexible structure that is migrating in time and space, from person to person, generation to generation, between social groups and nations, cities and continents, virtual and real world. Urban Research invites submissions on the topic of “Urbanisim and the Arab Uprisings: Beyond the Square,” a special issue exploring ways in which the urban has informed the ongoing Arab uprisings. The YATF supports the development of the contemporary artistic creation of the Arab world, provides circulation and distribution opportunities for its new, upcoming and most promising talent, and encourages sustainability of the independent artistic scene in the Arab world. Launched in 2006, Mawa3eed helps cover the travel expenses for artists and cultural directors so that they can present their work or participate in artistic and cultu ral activities and events throughout the Arab world.
