29th of October 2014 – 3rd of November 2014
In photojournalism, the story is everything. In this one-week intensive workshop you will become a visual storyteller and collaborate with photographer Tamara Abdulhadi to utilize documentary photography as a powerful means of communication and representation of social issues. The participants will choose their own subject / story, then in the four class sessions they will be able to make their stories come to life in the editing room. Please bring any photos and photo stories you have made in the past to share during the first class!
Tamara Abdulhadi is an internationally exhibited artist and photojournalist who is interested in social justice and deconstructing stereotypes. She has worked as a photojournalist and photo editor at Reuters and the New York Times and her work has been published in The Guardian and The Wall Street Journal.
